Farmington Live Art Walk Returns May 8, 2027

Mark your calendar! The Farmington Live Art Walk returns to Main Street on Saturday, May 8, 2027, from 12–4 PM, bringing an afternoon of live art, music, and community to Farmington’s historic Cultural District.

Free and open to all, the Live Art Walk turns a one-mile stretch of Main Street, from Route 4 to Meadow Road, into an outdoor gallery where the creative process is part of the experience. Artists will work on front lawns, porches, and sidewalks, giving visitors a chance to watch, ask questions, and see how a piece comes together.

Whether you’re planning a Mother’s Day weekend outing, bringing the kids, or meeting friends for an afternoon in the Village, there’s plenty to explore at your own pace.

Art, Music, and More Along Main Street

Plans for the day include:

  • Live art demonstrations: Watch artists paint, draw, sculpt, carve, and create across a range of mediums. Meet the people behind the work and learn about their materials and techniques.

  • Giant puppets and live music: Enjoy pop-up performances along the route, with plans to welcome giant puppets, children’s choral music, and student musicians.

  • Hands-on activities for kids: Young visitors can join in the creativity with opportunities to make their own art.

  • Food and local stops: Take a break for a bite, visit a local restaurant, and enjoy the shops and historic surroundings of Farmington Village.

  • A self-guided experience: Walk the full route or explore a few stops. There’s no set starting point, and visitors are welcome to come and go throughout the afternoon.

A shuttle is planned to help visitors travel along Main Street. The full artist lineup, performance schedule, parking details, and event map will be shared as the date approaches.

Be Part of the Walk

Artists are invited to sign up to participate, and businesses and organizations can explore sponsorship opportunities that help keep the event free for everyone.
